Description	:	SAMUEL NEAL DIES AFTER RESIDENCE HERE MANY YEARS Samuel Neal 80, of Villisca, who had lived most of his life in Villisca and vicinity died here Monday at 10:30 p.m. at the home of his niece and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Smith, after being confined to his bed during the last two weeks with an illness of several weeks duration. He had been in poor health for several years. He was born June 9, 1857 in Illinois and came to Iowa with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Neal, in his youth. They came here in a covered wagon.... Mr. Neal, who is the last member of his family, was never married. He united with the Methodist Church when he was a child. Funeral services were held Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at Arthur Smith home, conducted by the Rev. W. S. Bowden. The music was by Mrs. C. A. Penwell, Arthur Mitchell, Albert Brown of Villisca, and Mrs. Harrison Rawlings of Evanston, Illinois, accompanied by Miss Frances Penwell of Villisca. Pall bearers were Roy Neal, Arthur Smith, Albert Neal, and Elmer Gray of Villisca, Guy Neal of Council Bluffs, Iowa, and Ray Garrison of Omaha, Nebraska. Burial was in the Villisca Cemetery.
