At age 7 after both his parents died, he was adopted by George W. & Alice Jackson Bibens on Feb. 26, 1900. He married in Garnett July 25, 1918, to Florence Ballard, who survives. He was a WWI veteran of US Army. Funeral at Welda Methodist church and burial in Welda cemetery. Besides wife, he is survived by son Calvin Bibens, and daughters, Rowena Matheney, Irma Adam, and Frances Moore.(D.A.E./Oct 14, 1976)
