Coggeshall. Interment in the IOOF (Victor Memorial) Cemetery. Samuel Steffy Ross was born in Vannago County, Pennsylvania on September 7, 1849, being 75 years, 6 months, and 5 days of age. His parents came to Iowa when he was a young boy settling near Wilton in Cedar County, Iowa. In 1860 they came to Iowa County locating on a farm near Koszta, Iowa which was the family home for years. Mr Ross was married on October 28, 1872 to Miss Mary Kingon of Chicago and to this union two children were born, Mrs Gertrude Gant of Delavan, Wisconsin and Park B Ross at home. At one time Mr Ross and his family lived in Victor then moved to the farm north of town where they now live.
