Sandy passed away from cancer Tuesday, December 15, 1998, at the Rowley Masonic Home in Perry. Officiating at the services was Pastor Clifford Haider. Sandra Kaye Eaton, daughter of Arnold Henry and Lucille Jansen Mohr, was born August 29, 1943 in Lake City, Iowa. Sandy, as she was fondly known, was born while the family lived in Carnarvon They later moved to Breda and Sandy graduated from Wall Lake High School in 1961. On April 23, 1962, Sandy was united in marriage to Dennis Eaton. They became parents to three sons: Kevin, Troy and Brad. The family made their home first in Carnarvon and later in Wall Lake. The family moved to Perry in 1964, where Sandy began working at the Perry Chief. After sixteen years, Sandy left the Chief and started working at the Rowley Memorial Masonic in Perry. She retired after sixteen year, due to her failing health. Sandy was a member of the Minburn United Methodist Church in Minburn, was treasurer of the Perry Saddle Club, and was a member of the Women of the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge #1340 in Perry. She was a people person who loved to spend time with kids, especially her grandchildren, and friends and family. She also enjoyed dancing and working with baby colts. Survivors include her husband, Dennis of Bouton; her father Arnold Mohr of Ulmer; her mother, Lucille Mohr of Woodward; her children: Kevin and Cindy Eaton of DeSoto, IA, Troy Eaton of Bouton; Brad and Susan Eaton of Ankeny; Craig and Lisa Jones of Winterset; 4 grandchildren: Roxanne Kinsey, Lyndsey and Logan Eaton, all of DeSoto; Craig's son, Garrett Jones of Winterset; 2 brothers, Jerry and Paula Mohr of Phoenix, Rick and Jennifer Mohr of Orlando; 3 sisters, Ilene and Keith Brotherson of Waukee, IA, Linda and Ken Herron of Phoenix, and Karen and Gary Schroeder of Odebolt. Other survivors include 3 aunts: Wilma Blecha of Ulmer, Bernice Jansen of Storm Lake and Irene Terrill of Ankeny; nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends.
