Description	:	Linnie was the second wife of George Edward Antrim, called Ed -- who is buried beside her. Ed was married, but went back from Nebraska to Iowa to visit his parents and while there fell in love with his parents' housekeeper, Linnie, so he divorced his wife and married Linnie, according to her granddaughter Opal (Shepherd) Colby in 1988. SARAH ANTRIM CALLED BY DEATH Sarah Linnie Belle Petty John was born November 11, 1862 near Columbia, Iowa in Marion county to Peter and Amanda Petty John and passed away March 20, 1944 at the St. Francis hospital in Grand Island at the age of 81 years, 4 months and 9 days. Death followed a paralytic stroke from which she did not regain consciousness. She spent all her early years in Iowa and came to Nebraska when a young woman. Linnie Petty John was united in marriage on November 1, 1888 at Columbus, Nebraska to George Edward Antrim who preceded her in death April 11, 1932. One daughter, Etta Viola was born to this union. When an infant Mrs. Antrim was baptized in the Christian church and was reared under the influence and guidance of its precepts. In her later years she attended the local churches. The deceased and her husband were engaged in farming in the Havens community all their married years until September 1919 when they retired to Clarks. Besides their daughter they reared Mr. Antrim's two sons, Worth and Pearl, by a former marriage. All Mrs. Antrim's life she was a devoted homemaker and remained active to the last taking great pride in her house. Those left to mourn her passing are one daughter, Etta Shepherd, two granddaughters, Rose Colby and Opal Colby, two great granddaughters, Carolee and Betty Colby and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at the Methodist church in Silver Creek with Rev. Hamilton preaching the sermon and Rev. Beebe assisting. Mabel Towslee and Grace Ward accompanied by Arline Payne sang, In the Garden, Going Down the Valley and The City Four Square. The pallbearers for interment in the Silver Creek cemetery were: R.E. McLean, Lawrence Peterson, James Wolfe, Arthur Olson, Andrew Graves and Vincent Douglas. Silver Creek Sand, March 31, 1944
