Description	:	A resident of Garden county for a number of years, Mrs. Sara Ross, 97, died Wednesday at the Ogallala Community hospital. She had been in falling health for some time but was hospitalized only a short time before her death. Funeral services were held Friday in Grace Lutheran church at Lewellen with Rev. Wilfred Henning officiating. Burial was in the Ash Hollow cemetery beside her husband. She was born in West Middlesex, Pennsylvania, October 30,1863. Wilfred Henning officiating. Burial was in the Ash Hollow cemetery beside her husband. She was born in West Middlesex, Pennsylvania, October 30,1863. She came to the Lewellen-Big Springs area in 1884 and later was united in marriage to Bert Ross. For many years they lived northwest of Lewellen. In 1938 Mr. Ross succumbed and his widow lived in Oshkosh for a number of years. For the past six years she has lived with her daughter Mrs. C. G. Bergquist In Ogallala. Mr. Ross was employed by the Union Pacific railroad for some time. Mrs. Ross was active in the Grace Lutheran church of Lewellen, past-president of the Lutheran Guild and first president of the Red Cross when a chapter was organized in Lewellen. Two daughters and one son were born to Mr. and Mrs. Ross. The son and one daughter preceded their mother in death, the surviving daughter being Mrs. Bergquist. Other survivors are a granddaughter, Mrs. Jean Tingley of Ogallala, seven other grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and other relatives.
