I have posted a notice from the Iowa, U.S. Wills & Probate Records, showing her date of death as July 16, 1908. Also, this Proof of Will, was published in the "Ottumwa Tri-Weekly Courier," Tuesday, July 21, 1908. If Sarah had died on July 26, her proof of will would not have published on July 21, noting that she was deceased: Notice From "Ottumwa Tri-Weekly Courier," Tuesday, July 21, 1908, Page 8: LEGAL. Notice–Proof of Will. State of Iowa, Wapello county, ss. To all whom it may concern: Notice is hereby given that an instrument in writing purporting to be the last will and testament of Sarah A. Henness, deceased, was this day produced, opened and read by the undersigned, and that I have fixed Monday, the 24th day of August, 1908, as the day for hearing proof in relation there to.
