Whereas among the records and proceedings of the Orphans Court of Montgomery Co at Orphans Court held at Norristown in and about 5th day of July 1882, the Hon. Charles H. Stinson presiding judge of said court on petition of Joseph M. Famous, committee of the estate of Sarah Ann Famous of Harford Co Maryland represents that her father Joseph Jarrett late of the township of Upper Merion said county and died in the month of Oct 1865 having first made his last will and testament dated Oct 19 1863 duly proven and recorded in the office of the Register of wills directed inter alia as follows "I give and bequeath to my daughter Sarah Ann Famous ... " to wit on the final acocunt the sum of $1121.75 was secured in mortgage given by Samuel R. Famous the husband of said Sarah Ann to Samuel Barry the executor and the said Samuel continued to act on said trust until his death on Oct 6 1881 and prays for the court to appoint a new trustee to replace prior one. requested Aug 1 1882. Ordered Jan 18 1882 that Joseph M. Famous of Harford Co be appointed a committee to admin. trust and will cause a statement of account and value to report once a year to the court. per James D. Watters Judge of 3rd Judicial Circuit of MD. Sep 5 1882 John J. Corson appointed trustee and Henry Freedley sr approved the security. Harford Co will book WSR 10 p 216-220
