Read More	Mrs. Roach Died Here Pioneer Muscotah Resident Passed Away at Home of Daughter, Mrs. Dunkel Mrs. Sarah Roach, 94 years of age, widow of Fred Roach, died last night at 9:20 o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. William Dunkel, on North Terrace. Death resulted from Dropsey. Mrs. Roach had lived in Muscotah for many years; but for the past two months or more had been under the care of er daughter. Mrs. Roach was a wonderful woman, possessing a keen mind, a clear memory of event of Civil war times and a most kindly disposition. Mrs. Roach, whose maiden name was Miss Sarah A. Lollar, was born near Nashville, Tenn., November 22,1830. When she was eight years of age her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Levi Lollar, moved to Platte county, Mo., making the long trip overland in a covered wagon. Both of them died in Platte county many years ago. She was married to Fred Roach, young westerner in 1850 and eleven years later they moved to Atchison county, homesteading the farm now owned by Miss Alma Calvert. After living on that place for ten years, they moved to Muscotah, and were among the early residents of that community. Ten children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Roach. five of them are living: Mrs. Lillie Harris of Muscotah, Mrs. William Dunkel of Atchison, Mrs. FRank Walsh of Meremec, Okla., and Mortimer Roach and Elmer Roach of Muscotah. There are also 30 grandchildren and ten great grandchildren and one great great grandchild, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Foreman of Crete, Neb. Mr. Roach died in 1902. Mrs. Evan Boyle of Independence, Kas., who made her home with Mr. and Mrs. Roach from young girlhood until a few years ago, also survives. Last November 23, shortly before coming to Atchison, Mrs. Roach was the honored guest at a big celebration at her home in Muscotah in honor of her ninety-fourth birthday. All of her living children, and most of the other relatives were present. Mrs. Roach was a member of the Congregational church at Muscotah for a number of years before her death. The body is at the Dunkel home. short prayer services will the held at the Dunkel home at one o'clock tomorrow afternoon, and then the body will be transferred to the Methodist church at Muscotah, where the funeral services will be held at 2:30 o'clock. The Rev. Ralph Hendricks will be in charge. Internment will be in the Muscotah cemetery.
