Age 30 years; native of Johnson County, Missouri; married and has 6 children, the youngest one year old; was last from Missouri; has been in this County 3 years; occupation, housewife. The evidence of insanity is, her appearance and the testimony in relation to her general conduct, indicate insanity. Her husband cannot entrust the care of her children to her; imagines she has enemies who wish to destroy her. It is feared that she will do violence to herself or others - sleeps one third... Read More	Sarah A. Goodwin. Committed by I. B. Hollaway Judge of Lake County March 6th 1869. Age 30 years; native of Johnson County, Missouri; married and has 6 children, the youngest one year old; was last from Missouri; has been in this County 3 years; occupation, housewife. The evidence of insanity is, her appearance and the testimony in relation to her general conduct, indicate insanity. Her husband cannot entrust the care of her children to her; imagines she has enemies who wish to destroy her. It is feared that she will do violence to herself or others - sleeps one third of the time - secludes herself - talks to herself; has manifested a homicidal disposition. This attack appeared two years ago - has been insane two years with lucid intervals, not periodical - disease increasing - no hallucination - it is feared that she might injure herself or children; is disposed to injure others from sudden passion; is not suicidal. She disregards her dress and appearance and that of her children. Her grandmother was supposed to be partially insane; her predominate idea was to return to her first home; has used tobacco and coffee to excess; has suffered continually from suppressed menses; is gradually becoming more feeble; cause of insanity, absence from relations; class not stated.
