Description	:	Sarah Ann Guiles was born Febr. 7, 1821 at Columbus, Chenango County, New York, where she remainded with her parents for eighteen years. The family, then, moved to Maccain, Pa., where she was married to Henry Woodworth, whose father was one of the first settlers on the Meadville & Erie turnpike to Harrisburg. Read More	Sarah Ann Guiles was born Febr. 7, 1821 at Columbus, Chenango County, New York, where she remainded with her parents for eighteen years. The family, then, moved to Maccain, Pa., where she was married to Henry Woodworth, whose father was one of the first settlers on the Meadville & Erie turnpike to Harrisburg. They settled on the farm formerly owned by his father, remaining there 13 years, enjoying the pleasant surroundings and the companionship of a loving husband and five children, who came to bless their home. In 1856 they sold their home and moved to Roscoe, Winnebago County, Illinois, where they purchased a residence property and built a home. It was here that she became affiliated with the Methodist Episcopal church of which she has been a faithful member ever since. While living here, her husband was called to his Maker, shortly after enlisting in the war of the Rebellion, dying in the hospital at Nashville, Tenn. In 1879 Mrs. Woodworth moved to Neligh, Nebraska, where she remained for ten years, living on a homestead. Here she married Henry Wandell, whose name she bore to her death. In 1890, they moved to Norfolk, Nebraska, where her husband died in April 1901. Since which time, she has lived with her daughter, Mrs. George E. Cheney. For the last year, she has been a great sufferere from sarcoma, dying from the effects of which, July 21, at 1:20 p.m. at the age of 83 years, 5 months and 14 days. Surviving her are three brothers, Henry, Milo and Alphonso and of her children, two daughters, Lottie A Trussler of Salem, Oregon and Arvilla C. Cheney and her sons, Almond, Herbert and William. The funeral service was held last Saturday morning at 10 o'clock at the home of Mrs. George Cheney, conducted by Rev. J. Narver Gortner of the Methodist church, assisted by Rev. L.L. Swan of St. Mark's Episcopal church. The remains were laid away to rest in Rose Hill cemetery. We trust that we shall someday meet our sister in a brighter and better world than this.
