SARAH DANIELS DIED THURSDAY FUNERAL WILL BE HELD SATURDAY One of the city's aged and most beloved matrons, Mrs. Sarah E. Daniels, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. James Mister, on Maple street early Thursday morning. She was 78 years of age. Mrs. Daniels was born in Crisfield, the daughter of the late Edward and Mary Tawes Wharton, and was the widow of the late George H. Daniels. She had been in ill health for some months. A woman of fine presence and personality, Mrs. Daniels was the motherly type who had devoted most of her life to her home and family. She was a gracious lady, one of the kind who took for granted that friendship had its responsibilities, and she gave readily of her time and talents to be helpful where and when she could be. She was the kind of neighbor whose visits were enjoyable and looked forward to. She had a great capacity for understanding and sympathy, and the work of her hands was ruled by a compassionate heart. As a wife and mother she was a splendid example of womanhood, and there is sincere grief in many hearts because of her death. Funeral services will be held in the Covington Funeral Home on Main street tomorrow, Saturday afternoon, at 2:30 o'clock conducted by Rev. A. B. Frye, pastor of Immanuel Church, of which she had long been a member. Interment will be in the Crisfield cemetery. Surviving her are three sons, Edward Daniels of Salisbury, Md., Winslow Daniels of Eastport, Md., and John Daniels of Crisfield; one daughter, Mrs. James Mister of Crisfield; one brother, Ira Wharton of Princess Anne; one sister, Mrs. Grace Stewart of Crisfield; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
