She passed away at the home of her father on January 28th after an operation for appendicitis. She passed away at the home of her father on January 28th after an operation for appendicitis. Miss Armstrong will be missed by a host of friends to whom she had endeared herself by her cheerful disposition, her kindly feeling towards others and her spirit of Christian optimism. She was a member of St. John’s Church, Mono, the work of which church she helped in every way possible. She had also been a member of St. John’s Woman’s Auxiliary from the time of its inception. Her memory will be an inspiration to other to follow her example. She is survived by her father, five sisters and three brothers, namely: Clara at home, Edith in Orillia, Mrs. J. J. Laverty of Orangeville, Mrs. H. Gregg, of New York, and Mrs. R. J. McEwen, of Mono; Henry, of Bradford, Herbert and Albert, of Vancouver, B. C. The funeral was held from the family residence to St. John’s cemetery on Friday, January 30th. The Rev. Capt. Stewart, of Orangeville, conducted the services held in the church in the absence of the Rector, Rev. A. C. McCollum. The pall-bearers were Messrs. Samuel Patterson, John Atkinson, Hilborn Donaldson, George Lee, George Patterson and John Meek.
