Sarah Bloomfield Hivley was born in Richland County, Ohio, March 16th, 1843, and was married to Hezkiah Hivley on July 26th, 1866, in Columbia City, Indiana. She departed this life October 28th, 1926, at the age of 83 years, 8 months, and 12 days, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ida Petet, where she had made her home for the past fifteen years. Sarah Bloomfield Hivley was born in Richland County, Ohio, March 16th, 1843, and was married to Hezkiah Hivley on July 26th, 1866, in Columbia City, Indiana. She departed this life October 28th, 1926, at the age of 83 years, 8 months, and 12 days, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ida Petet, where she had made her home for the past fifteen years. Her husband departed from this life on May 24th, 1909. Mr. and Mrs. Hivley united with the Coburg Christian Church about thirty-eight years ago. To this union there was born six children, and one child at the age of four years preceded its parents in death. Five children survive to mourn the loss of their parents. Emma Barton, Grant Park, Ill; Ervin Hivley, Baunderant, Iowa; David Hivley, Omaha, Neb; Ida Petet, Brewster, Neb; Edward Hivley, Casper, Wyoming; also three daughter-in-laws, and two son-in-laws. 18 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, 1 brother, two sisters and many friends and relatives are left to mourn the loss. The News joins with all in extending sympathy to the family in their hour of bereavement.
