The deceased came to Iroquois County (Illinois) soon after her marriage to Aaron Moore, December 3, 1851. There were twelve children born to them, of whom eight survive. The family left Iroquois County in 1864 for Marion County, Iowa, where they resided until their removal to Kansas in 1887. Mr. Moore predeceased his wife twelve years, dying November 3, 1896. Mrs. Moore was a splendid Christian woman and an active member of the W. R. C. By her kindly ministrations she endeared herself to a wide circle of acquaintances, who regret her passing, but at the same time are comforted in the lessons of her life and the age of usefulness she attained.
