Sarah Elizabeth Clark was born April 17, 1874 to Thomas and Jane Clark in Cedar township in Mitchell county. She spent her entire life in Mitchell county except for two years in Stoughton, Wisc., when she was caring for a sister. She was united in marriage to Arthur Ball of Osage February 3, 1908, and four children were born to this union. She was baptized when a young woman into the First Baptist church of Osage and remained a faithful member to the last. She was absent but two Sundays from church and Sunday school in the past four years. She was also a member of the Dorcas group of the church. Surviving are two sons, Arno L. of Osage and Warren A. of Austin; one daughter, Mrs. Laurence (Ada) Zerek of Osage; a brother, William T. Clark of Wilmington, Del; 10 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Esther Elizabeth, in infancy; her parents, eight sisters and two brothers.
