Description	:	Sarah Elizabeth McCain was born in the state of Ohio, May 16, 1845 and died at her home in California Junction, January 28, 1911 being 65 years, 8 months, and 22 days of age. She came to Iowa with her parents in 1850 and was married to John S. Sproul of Union Mills, Ia, June 13, 1867. She leaves a husband and seven grown children, four sons and three daughters, beside an only brother to mourn her death one daughter having died in infancy. Read More	Sarah Elizabeth McCain was born in the state of Ohio, May 16, 1845 and died at her home in California Junction, January 28, 1911 being 65 years, 8 months, and 22 days of age. She came to Iowa with her parents in 1850 and was married to John S. Sproul of Union Mills, Ia, June 13, 1867. She leaves a husband and seven grown children, four sons and three daughters, beside an only brother to mourn her death one daughter having died in infancy. The children are, three sons, Ed, John, and Will Sproul living near California Junction, one son Wesley and one daughter Mrs. E O Fione living in California Junction, Mrs. F. R. Briggs, of this city and Mrs. D. H. Wheeler of Danville, Ill. Her brother C. W. McCain of New Sharon, Ia, husband and all the children except for Mrs Wheeler, who did not arrive in time, were with her at the time of her death. She united with the Methodist church when a young woman and continued as a member until two years ago when her husband and a number of her children having united with the Presbyterian church, she placed her card there. During her life she has been a most devoted wife and loving mother beloved by all who knew her. Her unselfish life is a shinning example to all, her first thought being always for her family and working ever for their comfort. The deceased had been ailing for some time and her death was the result of a complication of lung trouble which she was not strong enough to overcome. The funeral services were held from he Presbyterian church at California Junction this afternoon at 2 P M Rev. Curtis of this city officia ing.
