Description | : | Daughter of Enos and Catherine (Dillivan) Butrick; sister of David, Walter, Mary, Willis, John and Francis. In early autumn in 1849, the family travelled to Iowa in a prairie schooner, settling in a valley, called Squirrel Hollow, in Greene County (near Rippey). A cabin was built near a creek that emptied into the Raccoon River; it is known as the Buttrick Creek.
