No funeral arrangements have yet been made. Obituary Defiance Daily Crescent Friday, Feb 21, 1913 "Sarah Ellen Jacobs" - The Funeral of Sarah Ellen Jacobs, who died at the home of her sister Mrs. Chas. Hoeffel, 1 mile East of The Bend, will occur Monday morning at nine O'clock from St. John's Catholic Church, Burial at Riverside. Record of her death in the records of St. Stephens, The Bend states that Sarah Ellen Jacob age 51 of "The Bend", Defiance, a single lady died on Feb 20, 1913, of lung fever. her doctor was "Westrich" and the undertakers were "Martin" and that she is buried in Defiance. No known pictures of her exist. Hopefully, someone will prove me wrong!
