Born June 15, 1876, in Formanah county, Ireland, she was the daughter of Robert and Mary Carrothers McMullen. On March 26, 1896, she and Ben P. Falconer were married at Silver Creek. She had lived the greater part of her life in Silver Creek and Adams township. She had been a member of the Episcopalian church of Ireland, and later the Silver Creek Methodist church. Much of her life was devoted to her home and family and she enjoyed growing flowers. Surviving are five sons, Douglas, Oswald and Dale all of Ryan, Willard of Sioux Falls, S. D., and Harold of Madison, Wis.; two daughters; Mrs. William Haeussler and Mrs. E. J. Powell, both of Ryan, two brothers Henry McMullen of Coggon and Andrew McMullen of Ireland, and 12 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Mrs. Falconer was preceded in death by her husband, who died Aug. 10. 1946, and by her parents, one son, Howard, one grandson, Howard Jr., and three sisters.
