Description	:	Sarah Herring was a daughter of Anna Marie "Mary" (née Hersperger) and George Herring, born about 1822. Sarah Herring and Zelophehad Duval were married on 30 May 1855 in Frederick County, Maryland. (Sarah was the younger sister of Zelophehad Duval's first wife Susannah, who died in 1854.) Sarah and Zelophehad Duvall are known to have been the parents of three children: Jerome, Virginia, and George W. (died in infancy). Zelophehad Duval died in 1889 in the District of Columbia. Sarah Herring and Zelophehad Duval were married on 30 May 1855 in Frederick County, Maryland. (Sarah was the younger sister of Zelophehad Duval's first wife Susannah, who died in 1854.) Sarah and Zelophehad Duvall are known to have been the parents of three children: Jerome, Virginia, and George W. (died in infancy). Zelophehad Duval died in 1889 in the District of Columbia. An 1891 District of Columbia city directory lists Sarah, widow of "Zelophad" Duval. She died on 19 December 1892 in the District of Columbia, aged reportedly 72 years, and was "interred in the family graveyard at Jefferson." Notes The will of George Herring dated 5 Apr 1837 (proved 12 Aug 1837), and Equity Court Records of Frederick Co., Maryland, show that Susannah was the daughter of George and Mary Herring, and the wife of Zelophehad Duval (and that Mary Herring had later married Peter Boyer.)
