Description	:	SARAH PARKER DIES MONDAY--Mrs. Sarah J. Parker, age 85, died early today at her home, 56 E. Union St. She had been in ill health the last two years. Mrs. Parker was born in New England, O., and had lived in Athens the last 41 years. She was a member of the Athens Presbyterian Church and of the WCTU. She leaves one son, Sidney L. Parker, U.S. Geological Survey, Washington D.C.; a daughter, Mrs. Walter Burson, Athens; a brother, George Y. Tedrow, Guysville, and a granddaughter, Mary Ellen Burson, Athens. She was a member of the Athens Presbyterian Church and of the WCTU. She leaves one son, Sidney L. Parker, U.S. Geological Survey, Washington D.C.; a daughter, Mrs. Walter Burson, Athens; a brother, George Y. Tedrow, Guysville, and a granddaughter, Mary Ellen Burson, Athens. Her husband, Dr. George B. Parker, a former Athens and Chillicothe physician, died 14 years ago. Two sons and one daughter also preceded her in death. Funeral arrangements had not been completed today. (The Athens Messenger, Monday, April 19, 1943) Funeral services for Mrs. Sarah J. Parker, age 85, who died yesterday, will be held Wednesday afternoon at two o'clock (EWT) at her home, 56 E. Union St., conducted by the Rev. Fred Lucha, pastor of the Athens Presbyterian Church.
