Sidney L. Parker, 62, of 144 Columbia Ave., died Wednesday morning in Sheltering Arms Hospital after a week's illness.

Born at Chillicothe, son of the late Dr. George B. and Sarah Tedrow Parker, he graduated from Athens High School and attended Ohio University.

For 30 years he was employed as a topographer with the U. S. Geological Survey, retiring in 1945 and moving to Rockland, where he lived until June 1950 when he returned to Athens.
