Read More	Thursday August 8, 1935 The Tipton Daily Tribune Tipton, Indiana · 3 DIED in COLORADO. Wife of Rev. M. P. Goodykoontz , died July 30. Rev. M. P. Goodykoontz, former pastor at the East Union church, was in Tipton Thursday greeting old friends, and brought the sad word of the degth of his wife, which occurred Thursday July 30, at their home in Boulder, Colorado. Rev. Goodykoontz came here from New Carlisle where he had accompanied the body of his wife for funeral services. The body was placed in a crypt in the family mausoleum at that place. Mrs. Goodykoontz, who was born January 15, 1863, will be well remembered in this county, her husband having served as pastor at East Union, Refuge, Independence, Clarksville, Middletown, Mooreland, Dublin and Markle in Indiana, before going to Colorado a number of years ago where he served two pastorates. She had been in failing health for some time, and her sudden death was attributed to leakage of the heart. Surviving besides the husband is one son, Colin Goodykoontz who is a professor in the University of Colorado at Boulder. Mrs. Goodykoontz was deeply devoted to her family and was a splendid Christian woman, who made many staunch and true friends during her residence in this locality. Mrs. Jennie Brummitt Goodykoontz, Boulder, Colo., died at 2:45 p. m., Tuesday, in her home, after a year s illness. Surviving are her husband,, Marion, a son, Colin, and a granddaughter, Anna Louise, all of Boulder; two brothers, John Brummitt, Valparaiso, Ind., and Arthur Brummitt, sr., of New Carlisle, and two sisters, Mrs. Emily Loring, Valparaiso, and Mrs. Maria Brown, South Bend. Funeral Friday at 3 p. m., in the H. C. Amen funeral chapel here. Burial in New Carlisle cemetery.
