Mrs. Perrott was born in lowa and came to California with her parents when she was 7 years old. They arrived in San Bernardino in 1853 and later moved to Bolinas in Marin county, where at the age of 19 she married William Perrott, November 29, 1864. Read More	Blue Lake Advocate, Volume 49, Number 45, 6 March 1937 Table Bluff Pioneer Died Saturday at Her Home at Age of 91 Mrs. Sarah Jane Perrott, Humboldt pioneer, died Saturday at her home at Table Bluff at the age of 91. Mrs. Perrott was born in lowa and came to California with her parents when she was 7 years old. They arrived in San Bernardino in 1853 and later moved to Bolinas in Marin county, where at the age of 19 she married William Perrott, November 29, 1864. The next year they moved to Table Bluff to take up land and make their home. In 1901 Mrs. Perrott moved to Eureka, where she remained until last November, when she desired to return to the ranch home. Since then she has spent time both at the ranch and in Eureka. Her interest in the redwood forests prompted numerous gifts in the cause of their preservation. She donated to the State of California a beautiful stand of redwoods near Weott known as the Perrott Grove, in memory of her husband. She was a member pf the Pioneer Society of Humboldt County. To Mr. and Mr. Perrott were born three children, William H. Perrott, Mrs. Laura P. Mahan and Louella Perrott, all of whom have passed on. Mrs. Perrott is survived by two grandchildren, Mrs. Lynn A. Victor of Eureka and Henry Perrott of Loleta; three great grandchildren, Robert William, John Richard and Sally May Perrott of Loleta, and a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Bernetta Perrott, who has been caring for her at her Table Bluff home. Funeral rites were held Monday afternoon at the Hunter-Wise chapel in Fortuna with Christian Science services. Burial was in the Table Bluff cemetery. Contributor: Karen Hendricks (47322391)
