SARAH QUERY DIES AT SON’S HOME EAST OF VILLISCA Funeral services were held from Pitman’s funeral home Wednesday afternoon for Mrs. Sarah Query, 86, who died Monday morning at the home of her son Frank, 3 miles east of Villisca. The Rev. Arthur Mortenson was in charge of the final rites and burial was made in the Villisca Cemetery. Pall bearers were Walter Mathael, Gordon Netto, John Jackson, Glen Jackson, Leonard Strain, and Russell Winter. Music was furnished by Mrs. Lester Scott accompanied at the piano by Mrs. H. H. Nordyke. Sarah McBain, daughter of Seneca McNeil and Sarah McBain, was born December 26, 1852 in Argyle, New York. At the age of 18, she and her father made their home on a farm north of Villisca. She was united in marriage to Levi Query December 27, 1878 and to this union were born two children, Frank and Claude. Her husband and son Claude having preceded her in death, she is survived by her son Frank and a granddaughter, Norma Query. Mrs. Query was a member of the Presbyterian Church from early girlhood.
