Description	:	Mrs Amos (Sarah Esther) Freed, 94, of near Sidney, died at 6:45 PM Sunday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Ralph Montel, of near Silver Lake, with whom she had been residing for the past six months. Death was attributed to hardening of the arteries and she had been ill for the past five months. Mrs Freed was born in New Stark, Ohio, August 7, 1860, the daughter of Adam and Catherine (Kauffman) Bowers and had lived in the Sidney community for the past 53 years. Read More	Mrs Amos (Sarah Esther) Freed, 94, of near Sidney, died at 6:45 PM Sunday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Ralph Montel, of near Silver Lake, with whom she had been residing for the past six months. Death was attributed to hardening of the arteries and she had been ill for the past five months. Mrs Freed was born in New Stark, Ohio, August 7, 1860, the daughter of Adam and Catherine (Kauffman) Bowers and had lived in the Sidney community for the past 53 years. She was married November 2, 1882 to Amos Freed who died about 16 years ago. Survivors include one son, Mervin, of Claypool; two daughters, Mrs William Logan, of Claypool, and Mrs. Montel, of near Silver lake; and numerous grandchildren. Two daughters preceded her in death. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday at the Eel River Church of the Brethren, five miles east of Silver Lake, with Reverend Mervin Cripe officiating. Burial will be in the Eel River cemetery. Friends may call at the Summe funeral home, Silver Lake, until 1:00 PM Tuesday.
