Description	:	Sarah "Sally" Perry, dau. of Benjamin, d. June 18, 1880, Æ 82. Although her gravestone says she died Æ 81, the symbol "Æ" for the latin term Ætatis lost its correct meaning on gravestones by the mid-1800s. Consistent with the correct interpretation of husband Peter Wales' gravestone, on the day Sally died she was more likely 81 years old, and Æ 82. Sarah's origins cannot be readily found other than reference to her father being named Benjamin. According to her gravestone she was b. circa 1799. On Jan. 15, 1824 at Windham, Sally Perry m. Peter Wales, s. of Nathan Wales and Rosamond Robinson, b. at Windham, Conn. on Sept. 28, 1791 and d. on Feb. 6, 1874, Æ 83. They had at least seven children: Laura (Wales) Thurston, Deborah Jane (Wales) Webb, Susan who d.y., Sarah (Wales) Barstow, Henry N., Amelia Elizabeth (Wales) Belfield, and Cleveland.
