Description	:	Funeral services were held at the home on Fifth street Monday afternoon for Mrs. Chas. W. Culver who passed away last Thursday evening. A few days earlier she had suffered an arm fracture in a fall and the shock proved too great for her to overcome in her rather frail condition. The services were conducted by Rev. John Beckmann of the Zion Lutheran church who brought to relatives and assembled friends a most comforting message. Sarah Rebecca Williamson was born at Hopkinton, Iowa, October 22, 1855, the daughter of Salina and Thomas Newton Williamson. She grew to young womanhood in Iowa, coming to Boone county, Nebraska, in 1874. She was one of the pioneer teachers of the county, teaching her first school here. She returned to Iowa where she taught for a few years and then came back to Albion where she taught until 1885. She was married to Charles W. Culver on December 24, 1885, and to this union four sons were born, one preceding her, having died in infancy. Surviving are her husband Charles W. Culver; three sons, Vern A. Culver of San Francisco, Vere S. Culver of Exeter, New Hampshire, and Warren W. Culver of Sacramento; and six grandchildren. Mrs. Culver united with the Congregational church of Albion on January 17, 1892, and has been a faithful and active member since that time. A few years ago she was made a member of the Candle Club of the Congregational church in recognition of her long years of service. Mrs. Culver took more than the average interest in her home community and in its churches and schools, and even as late as last winter was a regular attendant along with Mr. Culver at the sessions of the Albion Adult school. Because of her continued interest in Albion Institutions, Mrs. Culver will be greatly missed. Mr. and Mrs. Vere Culver of Exeter, New Hampshire, Mr. and Mrs. Warren Culver and Warren Jr., of Sacramento and Vern Culver of San Francisco were here to attend the funeral services.
