Services are 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Glenvil with the Rev. Clinton McDonald officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul's Lutheran Church Cemetery west of Glenvil. Mrs. Valentin was born Dec. 14, 1904, to Jacob and Mary (Hermann) Wiederspan in Lincoln. She moved to Hastings in 1927. On Feb. 12, 1930, she married August L. Valentin. He died March 28, 1972. She volunteered at the Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital snack shop for 10 years. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Glenvil and Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America. She was a life member of the Mary Lanning Hospital Auxiliary and former member of the Cozy Corner Extension club. She was a volunteer at GSV. Survivors are one sister, Esther Reddick of Omaha; three grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by one son, Roland Valentin, and two brothers. Memorials may be given to St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Glenvil or Good Samaritan Village.
