The youngest of four boys, Scott was born in Spokane, Washington on September 17, 1956 to Norma Jean (Couch) and Jonah Walder Heimbigner. HEIMBIGNER (09/17/1956 - 12/29/2015) HEIMBIGNER, Scott D. Passed away doing what he loved most, hunting, on Tuesday, December 29, 2015. The youngest of four boys, Scott was born in Spokane, Washington on September 17, 1956 to Norma Jean (Couch) and Jonah Walder Heimbigner. He graduated from Odessa High School and Eastern Washington University. Through friends, he met and married Sherie (Winters). They would be celebrating 30 years of marriage in June. As an avid hunter, he spent as much time as possible filling his tags and his limits. He loved to hunt with his best friend Bruce, his girls (the dogs), and his daughters. Scott was an active member/officer of the Odessa Lions Club, the Odessa Historical Society, and the Marlin Gun Club. He loved the small town community of Odessa. He took great pride in his tomato plants, his volunteer sun flowers, and his family. He worked 27 years for the Boeing Company and had a short stint at Odessa Trading Company. After an early retirement, he worked part time as a crop insurance adjuster and substitute teacher for multiple schools, and of course took hunting season off. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Lynn Heimbigner. He is survived by his wife Sherie Heimbigner; daughters Natasha Heimbigner, Jessica and Bryan Winston; brothers, Jon and Karen Heimbigner, Barry and Twila Heimbigner; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. A celebration of life memorial service will be held at Christ Lutheran Church in Odessa, on Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at 12:00 pm. Scott will be laid to rest at a private family service in Ritzville, Washington. Memorials can be made in Scott's honor to the Odessa Lions Club (PO Box 585, Odessa, WA 99159).
