Description	:	Scott Lyndell Nielsen, the son of Ralph Ewing and Lana Kay (Dillon) Nielsen, was born April 7, 1960 in Superior, Nebraska. Scott attended the Saratoga Grade School in Lincoln, Nebraska and Potter Public School in Potter, Nebraska. In 1974 he moved to Rock Port, graduating from Rock Port High School in 1978. In 1981 Scott was united in marriage to Marlene Haynes. They had one daughter, Randi. They were later divorced. Scott was a gifted "handyman" who worked as a plumber, remodeling bathrooms and other construction projects. Scott attended the Saratoga Grade School in Lincoln, Nebraska and Potter Public School in Potter, Nebraska. In 1974 he moved to Rock Port, graduating from Rock Port High School in 1978. In 1981 Scott was united in marriage to Marlene Haynes. They had one daughter, Randi. They were later divorced. Scott was a gifted "handyman" who worked as a plumber, remodeling bathrooms and other construction projects. Scott had worked for Duane Smith, and helped build the High School Gymnasium in Nebraska City. More recently Scott was employed as a logger in Nebraska. He enjoyed crossword puzzles, horoscopes and was an avid sports fan. Scott was "alot of fun". He will be missed by his family and many close friends. Scott passed was Tuesday, January 10, 2006 at the Johnson County Hospital in Tecumseh, Nebraska at the age of 45 years. Survivors include: one daughter, Randi Nielsen, Lincoln; mother, Lana Nielsen, Rock Port; two sisters, Michelle Nielsen, Auburn, Nebraska; Lisa Cooper and husband, Michael, Rock Port; one brother, Michael Nielsen, Rock Port; grandmother, Lorraine Nielsen, Nelson, Nebraska; numerous nieces and nephews; and his dog and favorite companion, Risky Business. Besides his father, Ralph Nielsen, Scott was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Victor Nielsen and his maternal grandparents, Loyd and Dorothy Dillon. Graveside Services and interment will be conducted by Rev. Dr. Stephen Berry on Saturday, January 14, 2006 at 11:00 AM at the Nelson City Cemetery, Nelson, Nebraska. Pallbearers are James Pierce, Jordan Nielsen, Jeremy Pierce, Michael Phelps, Michael Nielsen, Michael Cooper, Dustin Pierce and Rod Ford. Memorials may be directed to the Scott Nielsen Memorial Fund. There is no scheduled visitation. Klawitter-Price Funeral Home of Nelson, Nebraska in charge of the arrangements.
