Description	:	St Paul's Lutheran Church of Farmington lost its oldest member when Mrs Pete Selzer was called away by the angel of death Monday morning , October 25, 1948 about 11:15 o'clock. She passed away at 217 Patterson Street, where for about 25 years she had made her home with her son in law and daughter, Mr and Mrs E.C. Revoir. She was aged 90 years, 10 months and 16 days Mr Selzer whose maiden name was Serofina Whitte was born Dec 9, 1857 in Loedingson, Germany. She was aged 90 years, 10 months and 16 days Mr Selzer whose maiden name was Serofina Whitte was born Dec 9, 1857 in Loedingson, Germany. Her parents were William Witte and his wife Justina nee Kroll. She came to America on March 17, 1867 with her parents and a sister, the late Mrs Dorathea Vollath, being at that time nine years of age. They lived in Iron Mountain, MO until the death of her parents, after which she went to St. Louis to work. While in St Louis she married Peter Selzer on Nov 14, 1878 and they soon moved to French Village where they made their home for a number of years. Later they moved to Farmington, where Mr Selzer passed away on Nov 1, 1924. Of the five children born in their home, one son died in infancy; another son Charlie passed away at the age on 9 years. The three who remain to mourn her departure are William and Fred Selzer both of St Louis, and Ida (Mrs E.C.) Revoir of Farmington. There are also five grandchildren and five great grandchildren Her body lay in state at the Miller Funeral home from where it was taken on Wednesday afternoon to St Paul;s Lutheran Church and then to the Lutheran Cem. The funeral Service was conducted by her pastor Rev E.C. Pardieck
