Reading, Feb. 24--Funeral services for Austin Eugene Casebier, who was killed in a plane crash February 13 at Macon, Ga., were held Friday afternoon at the Reading Baptist church at 2 o'clock. Services were conducted by the Rev. J. F. Teel of Stella, Neb., former pastor of the Reading church. Burial was in the Reading cemetery. Music was furnished by the Stotler quartet from the Stotler community. Marilyn Lynch, pianist, played during the services. Music was furnished by the Stotler quartet from the Stotler community. Marilyn Lynch, pianist, played during the services. Pallbearers, friend of Sergeant Casebier who were stationed with him at Wright Field, Dayton, Ohio, were Sgt. Angelo D. Tononi, George Hatjes, William Timble, Maurice Neidringhaus, Hugh Van Winkle and John Holdbrook. Services at the cemetery were conducted by the Emporia company of Kansas State guard under the direction of Gerald E. O'Connell, captain. Those from Emporia taking part in the graveside services were Charles Griffin, Ernest Albin, James Mullikin, Warren Pierce, Alfred Reed, Edwin Banister, Chester Duncan, J. R. Heath, Carl Hotzel, Floyd Ragsdale, Roscoe LaCerte, Thelda Askew, Weldon Morford and Fred C. Hotzel. Tom Lowe was the chaplain. Austin Eugene Casebier was born near Admire August 1, 1920. He moved with his parents Mr. and Mrs. Guy Casebier to the Reading community while a small boy. He was graduated from the Reading High school in 1939. He was married on November 27, 1941, to Miss Linda [sic - Glennda] Robey, of Wichita. He had served in the Army Air corps for five years and was a flight engineer on a heavy bomber when it was shot down over enemy territory and was taken prisoner in July 1944. He was liberated in April, 1945. Out of town relatives and friends who attended the services were: Mrs. Effie Cord, Mrs. Nancy Sherman and sons, Mickey and Jackie, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Keele and children Lilly Ann and Richard, Mrs. Alvin Pritchard and Mr. Basil Keller, all of Wichita; Mr. and Mrs. Norman Renner and Mrs. Lavetta Baumgart, of Plattsmouth, Neb.; Mr. and Mrs. Gale Smith and Betty Jane of Abilene, Bob Smith of Manhattan; Mrs. Glen Robey of Portland, Oregon; Mr. and Mrs. Earl Nolan, Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Nolan, Mrs. Homer Nolan, Mrs. Harold Stouder, and Mrs. Helen Taber of Topeka; Mr. and Mrs. Charles Gilroy and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Gilroy, of Ottawa; Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Tyler of LeLoup; Mr. and Mrs. Jim Casebier and Thelma, and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Haller and Helen, of Burlingame; and Mrs. Mary Renner and Howard, Mr. and Mrs. Willard Smith, Mrs. Nellie Smith, Ivan Smith, Pearlie Smith, Mrs. C.
