| Description | : | Additional information provided by Rich Robinson Bruce was born May 29, 1946, to Bernard and Clarice (Mangold) Nelson in Cherokee. He graduated from Storm Lake High School, Storm Lake. He also attended Trade School in Omaha, Neb. He served in the Iowa National Guard. He married Susan Flanigan on Nov. 18, 1967, in Storm Lake. He was a long distance truck driver. Preceding him in death were his father; and one brother David L. Nelson. Survivors include his mother; wife; two sons; one daughter; one brother — Richard Nelson, and wife, Norma; and two sisters — Deanna McConkey; Judy (Mrs. Larry) Crum. |
