Highland Recorder March 22, 1901 Mr. Clendenen served his county well and faitfully in the offices of Justice of the Peace and Notary Public, and for a long time he served his neighborhood in the capacity of school teacher and most of his life was spent as leader and officer in his church. On Friday the 15th of March, in Green Hill cemetery, his pastor Rev. J.R. Tillery officiating in the presence of a large number of sorrowing friends and relatives.
