Ottis, 93, of Elizabeth, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, March 1, 2016 in Elizabeth. He was born May 17, 1922 in Pitkin to the union of Elmer Lambright and Sarah (Sweat) Lambright. Ottis served and loved his country while serving in the United States Army and was a World War II POW. He was a Baptist by faith, loved reading his Bible, enjoyed gospel and bluegrass music. He was a member of the Woodman of the World. Ottis was hard working, loved riding his tractor, and for many years he raised cattle. After 27 years, Ottis retired from the Southern Maid Bag Company as a supervisor. He was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, great-great grandfather, uncle, and friend. He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Hazel (Willis) Lambright; one son, James Elmer Lambright; two daughters, Linda Dolores (Lambright) Durden and Amanda Zale (Lambright) Jordan. Those left behind to cherish his memory are: three sons, Ottis Lambright, Jr., Murphy Lambright, and Bryan Keith Lambright; one daughter, Janice Allison (Lambright) Bartlett; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-eight great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and a host of family and friends. Pallbearers to serve will be his grandsons, Winston Lambright, Daniel Lambright, Michael Lambright, Jim Durden, Randal Lambright, and Jason Jordan. Honorary pallbearers to serve will be his great grandsons, Justin Durden, Gabe LaFauci, and Forrest Durden. Visitation will be held at the Gospel Lighthouse Pentecostal Church on Thursday, March 3, 2016 from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m., then on Friday, March 4, 2016 from 9 a.m. until service time at 11 a.m. in the church.
