Description	:	Dick was born Nov. 21, 1928 in Nemaha to Cecil and Alice (Dahm) Westcott. He attended school in Nemaha, graduating from high school in 1948. He served in the U.S Army during the Korean War. On June 27, 1955, he married Teresa Meylor at Holy Name Catholic Church in Marcus. They moved to Albert City where Dick farmed and also served as a police officer. In 1966 he started working for Wilson Foods Inc. and moved to Cherokee in 1975. He remained with Wilson Foods, now Tyson Foods, until retiring in 1991. Dick was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed gardening, watching sports, in particular football and NASCAR. He enjoyed time with his family, having coffee with friends and golfing. Survivors include his wife; daughters, Donna Lichtenberg, and her husband, Eldon, of Aurelia; Janeen Westcott, of LeMars; sons, Jim Westcott and Charles Westcott, both of Cherokee; grandchildren, Jennifer, Lauren Lichtenberg, Brody Lichtenberg, James Westcott, Joshua Sauter; great grandchildren, Andrea Lichtenberg and Javon Lichtenberg; a sister, Marilyn Henrich and her husband, Ed, of Newell; brothers. Jerry Westcott and his wife. Pat, of Arnolds Park; Bob Westcott, and his wife, Frances, of Early; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding Dick in death were his parents and a niece (Susan Eakins).
