Woodbridges Regt Mass Troops Robert Ruggles was in Westfield, Mass., before 1772, whence he removed, in that year, to a farm 10 miles from Owego, Broeme Co., N. Y. In 1810 he removed with five sons and one dau. to Brookville, Ind. A brother, Nathaniel, is said to have accompanied him. He was a Revolutionary pensioner, and was lame in the hip. He was a man of unusual intelligence and exerted a wide influence. He was Serj. Major in Co1. Woodbridge's regiment, Aug. 20, 1771. He kept the company rolls.
