A celebration of life for friends and family will be held Wednesday, September 1, 2021, at 2:00 P.M. at the Lodgepole Valley Youth Camp in Sidney, NE. Read More	Shane Patrick Marron, age 37, of Sidney, NE passed away suddenly in a car accident the morning of August 11, 2021. As a child, Shane spent hours building Johnny 5 robot replicas out of Flexiblocks after seeing the movie "Short Circuit." Movies were influential to him and he was constantly writing screenplays, acting them out for his sister, and performing in his grandma's front lawn. An unsuspecting car drove past once during one of these performances and he chased it for multiple blocks exclaiming that they ruined his movie. This intense passion followed him through high school and college, where he conquered state championships for the speech team, landed leading roles in every play and won "best actor" awards for nearly every role. He had a dedication to art and wrote countless pages of poetry and short stories the entirety of his life. Shane was also a musician; he wrote, played, performed, and recorded dozens of albums—some of which can be found here: https://zthall.wixsite.com/storyofpolus/shane Shane was an encompassing source of light, always able to bring humor to uncomfortable situations. He was admired by peers, voted class president, and crowned king at his high school dance. A paralyzing darkness takes his place. He was a loving father and talked about his daughter Willa every day. He was an entertaining uncle, a loyal friend, a supportive son, a creative chef, a nephew, a cousin, an encouraging older brother with significant influence, and a hero who often reveled in the time he saved his sister from drowning. Sensitive, but strong, Shane was a brilliant soul who empathized with the pains of the world. He wanted everyone to be happy, to laugh, enjoy guilty pleasures, watch movies, listen to music, kick your feet and keep on swimming. Shane is preceded in death by his mother Jeannette Marron and grandmother Loretta Henkens.
