She was born Sept. 23, 1940 in Continental to William C. and Frances Virginia McNett Moeller who preceded her in death. On Jan. 4, 1964, she married Gary R. Sandy, who died Feb. 1, 1992. Mrs. Sandy was a member of Immanuel United Methodist Church, Elida, and the Senior Citizens Center. She loved reading, crossword puzzles, word searches and playing cards. She was a member of Bunko Club. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends. Survivors include a son, David S. Sandy of Lima; two daughters, Malinda K. "Mindy" (Mark C.) Savina of Brunswick, and Koto Watanabe of Yokohama, Japan; two granddaughters, Allison G. Sandy of Lima and Nile I. Savina of Brunswick; two grandsons, Ethan H. Savina and Aaron J. Savina, both of Brunswick; a brother, Bud Moeller of Ocala, Fla.; three sisters-in-law, Marlene Frey of Lima, Bonnie Moeller of Continental, and Barbara Moeller of Redding, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Bill and John Moeller. Services will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Chiles-Laman Funeral and Cremation Services, Shawnee Chapel. Pastor Mike Jenkins will officiate. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Elida.
