Description	:	Sheila A. McCollum, age 60 of Sidney, IA died Saturday, September 8, 2012 at Mercy Hospital in Council Bluffs, IA following a brief illness. Sheila was born May 5, 1952 in Hamburg, IA to Clarence George Schooley and Alene June (Reed) Schooley. Sheila was a very fun loving person. She enjoyed her church, reading the Bible and writing the Christmas play for Church at Christmas time. She loved to listen to Christian music. She loved and enjoyed working with children, sewing, cooking and making crafts and she had a love for jewelry. Her favorite holidays were Christmas and Halloween. She and sister Connie... Read More	Sheila A. McCollum, age 60 of Sidney, IA died Saturday, September 8, 2012 at Mercy Hospital in Council Bluffs, IA following a brief illness. Sheila was born May 5, 1952 in Hamburg, IA to Clarence George Schooley and Alene June (Reed) Schooley. Sheila was a very fun loving person. She enjoyed her church, reading the Bible and writing the Christmas play for Church at Christmas time. She loved to listen to Christian music. She loved and enjoyed working with children, sewing, cooking and making crafts and she had a love for jewelry. Her favorite holidays were Christmas and Halloween. She and sister Connie would dress up and trick and treat their family members. They always put on the funniest act, anything to make their family laugh. But one of her favorite past times in later years was talking on the phone with those she knew and loved. Sheila worked for many years at the Glenwood State School. She was electrocuted by a microwave oven which destroyed one of her kidneys and damaged the last kidney. She went through Cancer and Leukemia. The last 3 years she went to Dialysis and had a great deal of other physical problems. She wanted everyone she talked with to know and be sure to take care of their Kidneys and to know how difficult the dialysis was to deal with. Sheila was preceded in death by her parents; brother Larry at birth; sister Connie Harris; a nephew, Michael Linkenhoker, Sr. She is survived by her sister, Sharlyn Trudell of Thurman, IA; brother-in-law Carl Harris of Sidney; very special friends Donald Mills of Thurman and James and wife Penea Durfey of Malvern, IA; six nephews and their families, Jeffery Linkenhoker and wife Nellie of Thurman, Gregory Linkenhoker and wife Lenae of Council Bluffs, IA, Robert Linkenhoker of Glenwood, IA, Neal Harris and wife Betty of Omaha NE, and Shawn Harris and wife Kathy of Council Bluffs; her little furry family Jazzy, Sammy, and Tee Tee who she loved so very much; numerous great nieces, and nephews, many other relatives and friends.
