Description	:	From a 1907 Nance County, Nebraska, newspaper clipping file, transcribed by Linda Berney: Sheridan Romaine, son of Ariel and Persis Kellogg, was born in Dover, Bureau Co., Illinois, September 14th 1845 and fell asleep in Jesus at 1:15 p.m. on Wednesday Nov. 27, 1907 at the age of 62 yrs., 2 mo., and 13 days. Of his father's family 10 grew to man and womanhood, and of this family there are but three living, two brothers and one sister. None able to be with us. Mr. Kellogg was united in marriage to Miss Irene Witherell on Thanksgiving day, Nov. 18, 1869 in the state of Illinois, and came to Nebraska in 1871 and settled near Clarks. To this union were born 8 children, 6 sons and 2 daughters, one died in childhood. Two daughters and two sons have linked their fortunes with others and have homes of their own. Three are single and all were permitted to reach the bedside of their father. All are present to mourn with the mother the loss of husband and father. The family removed from Clarks to Central City where they lived 7 years, to this city about 8 years ago, where they have since lived. Mr. Kellogg was a quiet industrious citizen noted as an honest and obliging neighbor, a good husband and a kind father......Interment at the Riverside cemetery. Card of Thanks signed by Mrs. S. R.
