Description	:	Boone County Democrat May 22, 1913 Friday morning, May 16th at 10:55 o’clock occurred the death of Sherman Gould, one of the old pioneer settlers of this county. He was born in Watertown, Jefferson county, New York, and was the son of John and Nancy Gould. He was married to Lusyppa Chesbro on March 9, 1862, at Watertown, New York. Read More	Boone County Democrat May 22, 1913 Friday morning, May 16th at 10:55 o’clock occurred the death of Sherman Gould, one of the old pioneer settlers of this county. He was born in Watertown, Jefferson county, New York, and was the son of John and Nancy Gould. He was married to Lusyppa Chesbro on March 9, 1862, at Watertown, New York. Four children were born to this union, two of whom with the widow survive, they are, Charlotte Crouthamel, who died on June 4, 1910, John, who was drowned on June 14, 1889, Edward Y. of Dodge township, and Samuel S. of Des Moines, Iowa. He is also survived by one sister and one brother of Watertown, New York, six grandchildren, all of this city, except Mrs. Joseph G. Ebner of Billings, Montana. Mr. Gould moved to Boone county 43 years ago, living on his farm five miles north of Boone until eighty years ago, when he retired and has since live din Boone. The funeral services of the late Sherman Gould were held on Sunday afternoon at 1:30 o’clock from the home and 2:00 o’clock from the First M.E. church conducted by the Rev. J.W. Babcock of the Christian church assisted by the Rev. G.D. Crissman of the First M.E. church. The pallbearers were all close friends of the deceased and were Messrs. John Fellers, John Bain, J.W. Lamb, W.A. Easton, Thomas Johnson and George Scharping. The remains were laid to rest in Linwood Park cemetery. The out of town relatives here to attend the funeral were Mrs. John Cooke, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Gould of Watertown, New York; Mr. and Mrs. J.G. Ebner of Billings, Montana and Mr. and Mrs. S.S. Gould of Des Moines.
