Description	:	Shirley Ann Brown Silver, 83 passed away Friday February 17, 2012, at her home in Ankeny, Iowa. She was born December 15, 1928 in Bondurant, Iowa to John and Elizabeth (Baer) Brown. Shirley was a secretary at Ankeny High School for 27 years until her retirement in 1992. She enjoyed music, cooking, close friends and pets. Shirley is survived by her husband, Keith; son, Doug Silver; daughter, Diane Silver, granddaughters, Lauren Silver and Kristen (Tim) Dolan; sister, Elva (Lee) Rummans; and sister-in-law, Ruby Brown. She was preceded in dearth by her parents and her brother, Clarence Brown. Funeral services will by at 11 A.M., Friday February 24, 2012 at Altoona United Methodist Church, 602 5th Avenue SW,, Ankeny, Iowa for a private family burial will be held at a later date at the Berwick Cemetery. The family should like to espress a heartfelt thank you to employees of Iowa Hospice Home Healthcare for their care and compassion toward Shirley. Memorial contributions ma be given to Altoona United Methodist CHurch or the Animal Rescue League in loving memory of Shirley.
