Description	:	Shirley Ann Huyser Cox Molendyk passed to her heavenly home of natural causes on September 26, 2018 at the age of 89 in Battle Mountain, Nevada. She was born on November 20, 1928 in Big Timber, Montana to John and Elisabeth (Vork) Huyser. She was the youngest of eight children and was raised on a sheep ranch. Read More	Shirley Ann Huyser Cox Molendyk passed to her heavenly home of natural causes on September 26, 2018 at the age of 89 in Battle Mountain, Nevada. She was born on November 20, 1928 in Big Timber, Montana to John and Elisabeth (Vork) Huyser. She was the youngest of eight children and was raised on a sheep ranch. Shirley married Glenos Cox in 1949. They had two sons , Glenn and Kenneth. He passed in 1952. In 1955, she and the boys moved to Manhattan, Montana where she met and married Tony Molendyk. In 1956 they had one son Terry. They made their home in Manhattan, Montana. Shirley was a cook at various dorms at MSU, then cooked at Manhattan Schools until retiring. She was a reat cook and we all enjoyed it. She loved her yard, flowers, garden and many poodles. She also enjoyed quilting and all the family has proof of that. Shirley was a member of the Dry Creek Bible Church. Her faith was a big part of her life. This made her passing easier as she knew where she was going. She moved to Oregon to be with her son Terry in 2004 and lived in a retirement facility where she met many new friends. In 2017 she moved to Battle Mountain, Nevada to live with Kenneth and Judy. When her health declined to a level that required full time medical care, she moved to a long-term care facility. She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands and all her brothers and sisters. She is survived by her sons; Glen (Susan) Cox and Kenneth (Judy) Cox and Terry (Teresa) Molendyk; grandchildren Caroline Cox (Brian Ritts), Jerry (Wendy) Cox, Bryan (Ambur) Aten, Sheldon and Shane Molendyk; great-grandchildren Marian Cleveland, Carson and Caleb Cox, Jessie (Jorge) Alarenga, Marisa Aten and Ellexy Molendyk, along with many nieces and nephews. Special thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at the Battle Mountain Long Term Care for the care of Shirley in her final time. There will be family services at a later date with burial at Dry Creek Cemetery.
