Born January 11, 1928 in Batesville, Indiana she was the daughter of the late Charles & Ruth (Castle) Doner. She lived much of her life in Franklin County, Indiana. Young, age 82, of Brookville, Indiana died Thursday, December 9, 2010 at Heritage House in Connersville, Indiana. Born January 11, 1928 in Batesville, Indiana she was the daughter of the late Charles & Ruth (Castle) Doner. She lived much of her life in Franklin County, Indiana. On March 21, 1953 she was united in marriage to Leon C. Young, and he preceded her in death on December 21, 1995. She was a member of the Valley Christian Church in Brookville. Survivors include one son & daughter-in-law, Terry & Hilda Johnson of Connersville, Indiana; a sister Carol Kennedy of Phoenix, Arizona; seven grandchildren as well as 15 great-grandchildren. Besides her parents and husband, Leon, she was preceded in death by a son, Danny Johnson; a grandson, David Stamper; as well as a sister, Mary Lou Doner. Family & friends may visit from 9 till 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home, 1025 Franklin Ave., Brookville, . David Goins will officiate the funeral services on Tuesday, December 14, 2010, 11:00 A.M., at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home. Burial will then follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in Brookville, Indiana. Memorial contributions may be directed to the American Lung Association.
