In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a toddler son. Survivors include three sons, Denis (Cathy) Borah of Sioux Falls, Mike (Rachelle) Borah of Beresford and Ryan (Trisha) Borah of Brookings; six daughters, Sharon (Mike) Swanson of Arlington, Cathy (Lyle) Palmlund of De Smet, Connie (Bob) Salonen of Brookings, Sandy (Steve) Duffy of Oldham, Laurie (Shane) Brown of Oldham and Jody Janssen of Lake Preston; 19 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Chuck Spurgin of Madison, Rich (Dawn) Spurgin of Carthage and Don (Karen) Spurgin of Osceola, IA; and one sister, Marilyn (Dick) Linneman of Watertown.
