Description	:	Shirley M. Beisel, 69, of Herington, died Wednesday, January 16th, 2008, at the Herington Municipal Hospital. She was born on January 27, 1938, at Riverton, Iowa, the daughter of Ancel F. and Nettie M. (Powers) Baker. Funeral service will be held at 2:00pm Saturday, January 19th, 2008, at the First Christian Church, Herington, with Rev. Shawn Baird officiating. Burial will follow at the Sunset Hill Cemetery, with full military honors by a Special Air Force Funeral Detail. Mrs. Beisel served in the U.S. Air Force with the Medical Corps as a Staff Sergeant. She was a member of the First Christian Church, Herington; and a member of the American Legion Post #12, Herington. She was also a charter member of the Women in Military Service for America. She was with Jack Beisel since 1957, he survives of the home. She is also survived by a son Tyson Beisel (wife-Laura) of Oak Creek, Wisc; three (3) brothers: Ore Baker of Milwaukee, Oregon, Tom Fleming of Twin Falls, Idaho, and Ray Fleming of Gooding, Idaho; and five (5) grandchildren (Erin, Kylie, Tyler, Bradley, Jack). She is preceded in death by four (4) brothers: Hubert Baker, Joe Baker, Fred Baker, & Warren Baker; and her parents. The family request memorials to the First Christian Church or the Dickinson County Hospice; and they can be sent in care of the Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home & Crematory, Herington Chapel, 404 South Broadway, Herington, Kansas, 67449-3038.
