Description	:	Sutton resident, Shirley Mae Woodard-White, 83, passed away Wednesday, May 27, 2015, at Mary Lanning Healthcare in Hastings, NE. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, June 1, 2015, at Hope Reformed Church in Sutton, NE with Rev. Darrell Kingswood officiating. Interment will follow at the Sutton Cemetery. Shirley was born July 18, 1931, to Adam D. and Henrietta F. (Griess) Bauer. She received her education in Sutton and graduated from Sutton High School in 1949. She married Leo Woodard in York, NE and to this union two children were born. Leo passed away August 12, 1965. Later, she married Tom White in Raton, NM, and to this union one son was born. Shirley was employed at Brown’s Thrift Store and enjoyed visiting with the various different customers. She lived and worked a majority of her life in the Sutton, NE area. She was a member of Hope Reformed Church in Sutton, NE. She loved animals and was always looking out for the welfare of neglected pets. She enjoyed spending time with her sister, Lucille, working in the yard and taking care of flowers. Shirley is survived by her daughter, Pam Woodard of Sutton, NE; son, Tom White, Jr. of Cambridge, NE; grandchildren, Jeremy; Colby; Candice; Madison; and Elizabeth; great-grandchildren, Nicole; Atticus; Daegon; and Owen; sister, Lucille Robley of Sutton, NE; step-children, Debbie Seifried and Peggy White both of Colorado; Steven White of Kansas; and Mike White of West Virginia; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leo Woodard; son, Ricky Woodard; brother, Harold Bauer; and sister, Eleanor Heinbigner.
